Bill Says "360 will be the 'Most Reliable' Console on the Market"
Shortly after Bill Gates made his last CES address, he had an interview with the BBC.
After being asked about the famous disk read errors, or the "red ring of death", Bill let them know what Microsoft has done remedy the situation.
Last July, Microsoft finally addressed the problem and offered a three-year warranty after an "unacceptable number" of repairs. The repairs and warranty have cost Microsoft more than 1 BILLION dollars!
Mr. Gate is so sure of the reliability of the 360, that he says it is now the "most reliable" video game system on the market today.
"We certainly had to apologize to our users about a number of boxes that had to be replaced. We did that for free for all those people. We've gotten a lot of positive feedback about the way we've handled it. We've got incredible reliability on the new work that we've done," Gates said.
He continues, "Our commitment is that it'll be the most reliable video game box out there. People really love the Xbox because of the content, but we have to make sure the hardware never stands in the way of that."
Think he was just nervous of another 5 million dollar lawsuit?
