With the holiday season over, and all the numbers in, Microsoft says they have now sold 17.7 million Xbox 360 units. Of course, 17.6 of them had the disc read error!

The previous released numbers from Microsoft were back in October, when they said they had sold 13.4 million units, and their gaming division had FINALLY turned a profit.

In other numbers released, Halo 3 has sold over 8.1 million copies since it was released in September, and Mass Effect has sold more than 1.6 millio copies since its late November release.

All in all, it looks like the console might be here to stay! I'm off to see if I can actually get logged into Xbox Live.
