If you need to know what to get the ultimate gamer who already has everything, I have the answer. It seems an avid and knowledgable gamer is selling off a 30 year collection of games and systems. Why? Who knows? Who cares? All I know is that if I had a tub O' money I would have bid on this collection. The historical value, at least to me, would be worth the investment. Also, as a 40-something gamer, these are the games and systems of my youth. It's like an electronic time capsule to me and those like me. To the generation raised on Doom, Halo and GTA I am quite sure this stuff seems silly and arcaic. To my generation, it's a trip back to a simpler time when one could get through a game with a two button paddle. Sadly, I cant afford the kind of investment required, but someone else could. The winning bid was $9000.00.  Heck, I couldn't afford the shipping! ($1500.00 for UPS ground.) Maybe in the next life, eh? (via Giant Game Auction)
