PS3 Now At Version 1.90
Sony just put out a firmware update, that means it's now at version 1.90. Not a bad slew of features either.
Here are all the new features for this update:
- Option menu now includes "eject disk"
- Ability to rearrange games on the XMB
- Press triangle to eject games/CDs/movies in the XMB
- XMB backgrounds
- Ability to change the folder classification
- Force 24Hz output for Blu-ray over HDMI
- Change CD output to 44.1/88.2/176.4kHz
- Emoticons
- Change PS3 video settings in-game
- "Bit Mapping" in the "Music Setting"
- Add bookmarks
- Change settings like up scaling while playing PS and PS2 games
- Save AVCHD type animations from a Memory Stick
- Web browser security function in the browser's tool section
- Avatar moves during audio visual chat
You know, Nintendo could learn something about the whole updating firmware thing.
Plus, I hear that the Playstation Store update on Thursday is going to kick ass, what with a Heavenly Sword Demo being available for download. Expect long download times on that one.
