Manhunt 2 Gets AO Rating, Hate From Sony And Nintendo Follows

Manhunt 2, the sequel to the most violent and gruesome game to ever grace a console may be committing social suicide.

The ESRB recently announced the rating for the game would be Adults Only (AO) and that means that only kids 18+ can purchase the game. As opposed to the T for Teen rating, where only 17+ can purchase a game. See what a difference a year makes kids?

So with that announcement comes a slew of other announcements. The given is the fact that retailers like Walmart, K-mart, Target, won't carry the game because of the rating. The somewhat unexpected announcements come from Nintendo and Sony. Neither of them will put an AO game on any of their consoles. So what does Take-Two do now? Either can it completely, or revamp it and then resubmit it to the ESRB. More when it breaks. (via Kotaku)
