Aaron Greenberg, Group Product Manager for Xbox 360/Xbox Live and all around cool d00d at Microsoft,  hinted yesterday that there would be some exciting news coming out about the Xbox 360 today.

Initial reports were that the announcement would be huge and would "go down in video game history." But, alas, it wasn't that huge.

During the Pac-Man World Championships (yes, they still have them after 30 years), Microsoft announce a new version on Xbox Live available for 800 Microsoft points. It's much better than the old Atari version.

It was also announced that Toru Iwatani, the creator/designer of the original Pac-Man, is switching from the private sector to the education sector. He'll be teaching game development at the Tokyo Polytechnic University.
