GameTap.com issued a press release that made some interesting announcements. On May 31st they're going to offer 30 free games to online players (supported by online advertising). The list of free games is a bit heavy in the "retro" area, but luckily, they're nearly all fun games: Joust, Robotron 2084, Metal Slug, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend, and more.
Another interesting note about May 31st. GameTap will also be selling the newest Tomb Raider title, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, on the same day it will be released in stores. This should be interesting.

Sony's Surf's Up, coming out in early June, is an CG animated movie staring the usual cartoony animals competing in a surging event. Ubisoft is making the game, which will be on pretty much every platform available. Ubisoft usually makes pretty good games, while most movie based games aren't particularly good. So, I'd give this a 50/50 shot of being any good. We'll see. Ubisoft released a list of features and more info today.

Man, I wish we had comments working... I better get right on that. Seriously, I'd love to hear what our readers think about the results of PC Zone's poll. They polled "leading game journalists" to get the consensus on the best PC games of all time.
Number one was Deus Ex in their opinion, while I would have had a tough choice between Unreal Tournament (any version as long as it was the newest), Civ 4, and BattleField 2. I'd ask what you guys think, but the only way you can tell us is to use the feedback form. (go ahead, click it, you know you want to...)

If you're like me, you probably started kicking yourself a few months ago ever since the Wii's success became apparent. The momentum of its popularity hasn't stopped. Why would you be kicking yourself? Because you didn't buy stock.
