Getting newsletters (by choice or not) sometimes benefits you. I'm about to go to bed, and I usually do one more e-mail check. I got the Xbox 360 Newsletter, did a quick look over, and stopped. Looked again, and got giddy.

I clicked the link and there it was. Complete details on what we'll be getting with the Halo 3 Beta download.

• The event will run from May 16th at 5A.M. PST - June 6th at 11:59 P.M. PST
• Three richly detailed, action-oriented maps: Snowbound, High Ground, and Valhalla, which represent a mixture of large- and medium-scale combat environments and are brand new to Halo 3.
• New Halo 3 vehicles such as the agile Mongoose all-terrain vehicle
• Deadly weapons such as the new and improved Assault Rifle, the ferocious Brute Spiker, the devastating Spartan Laser, and the treacherous new Spike Grenades.

If you still haven't gotten your invite, you're out of luck. But you can still participate, just go buy Crackdown! Inside will be your invite, along with a quality game. If you ask me, they should have released the game as "Halo 3 Beta ft. Crackdown." You can be sure I'm going to give you guys my impressions when it goes live.
