PS3 Home Beta Trial
GameRadar has learned that Home Beta invitations are going out to Playstation-Underground members.
According to the invite, "Home is ramping up for its debut, and we're inviting you to sign up for a very special beta test. Space is extremely limited." SCEA warns that "Not everyone who signs up will be accepted" but if you are, they'll notify you via e-mail.
While I think it's a great idea, a melding of both the Wii's Mii's (that just made me giggle) and the Xbox 360's achievments, well, it's really not that great of an idea at the same time. At least the way they are doing it. I think it's too much like using The Sims to play your video games for you and then having your Sims take all the credit. But I think Nintendo put it best, it's a "Mii too" program.
If you are one of the unlucky bunch who didn't get an exclusive invite, there's still hope! If you go here, refresh for hours on end until they update, tell your friends and family that if they clap loud enough and say "I believe," you might just get your invite!
Either that, or revive Tinker Bell... I forget which!
